Five-day online training ‘QA English for specific purposes’ completed

On November 13, 2020 the five-day online training ‘QA English for specific purposes’ was completed. The training was conducted by representatives of The South East European Research Center (Thessaloniki, Greece) and Edge Hill University (Ormskirk, UK).

Kelly Pasmatzi focused on the aspects of making oral presentations. Vicky Papachristou overviewed the special “Tuning” methodology terminology based on the study programs examples. The participants got acquainted with the elements that should be taken into account during course design including the stage of developing and evaluating learning outcomes. Vicky Papachristou also spoke in detail about the stages of preparing cover letters. David Allan recommended the ways to write professional reports, focusing on the necessary terms, structure, and key aspects of report preparation. The speaker also gave some useful tips for a successful interview, and also paid attention to the key points of self-presentation. At the end of the training, the participants gave their course presentations.

28 teachers and representatives of universities of the project consortium completed the training. The participants received the certificates at the end of the online training ‘QA English for specific purposes’.
