Online training «QA English for specific purposes» for VET and HE teachers took place on November 9 -13, 2020. Organizers – SEERC research centre of CITY College, International Faculty of the University of Sheffield(Thessaloniki, Greece) and Edge Hill University (Ormskirk, UK). Academic staff of consortium universities and affiliated vocational training institutions took part in a 5-day training focused at enhancing English language and professional communication competences of teachers. The training was designated to prepare Russian and Kazakhstan VET and HE teachers to the forthcoming ECTS/Tuning Methodology training. All sessions were practice oriented and encouraged trainees to exchange experience and ideas. The European trainers – Kelly Pasmatzi andVicky Papachristou from SEERC, David Allan from Edge Hill University, prepared a very diverse and comprehensive Agenda:
During the 1st Day
Kelly Pasmatzi (SEERC) focused on some aspects of making oral presentations such as: structure, visuals, intonation and use of tenses.
During the 2nd Day
Vicky Papachristou (SEERC) demonstrated sample syllabi and covered specific Tuning terminology and language for writing learning outcomes and suitable assessment tools.
During the 3rd Day
Vicky Papachristou (SEERC) gave the details of cover letter techniques, highlighted and discussed with trainees what makes a good cover letter, types of cover letter, format and structure, dos and don’ts.
During the 4th Day
David Allan (Edge Hill University) spoke about writing professional reports, interview and self-presentation skills, models of reflection.
During the 5th Day
At the final day the trainees summed up the received information by presenting their own courses. Among the trainees who successfully presented their courses were:

After presenting the courses the participants got the qualified feedback and recommendations from the European trainers.
