IITU: training for colleges and universities

On June 22-23, a series of trainings was held for teachers of colleges and universities on the Zoom platform from members of the Allvet team of the Kazakhstan Consortium on the implementation of the principles of the Bologna process and the competence approach in the VET system.

The vice-rector for International and Scientific Activities of the MUIT E.A. Daineko. Mukhanova G. and Zakirova G. D. made an introductory speech about the importance of the project for professional education. They told the representatives of colleges and universities about the advantages of the competence-based approach in teaching and the specifics of the principles of the Bologna process, its differences from the principles of the Turin process.

The members of the MUIT team presented the reports that aroused the interest of the representatives of colleges :

  • ” Preparation of the curriculum, selection of competencies, consultations with stakeholders” (speaker prof MUIT Niyazgulova A),
  • “The role of learning outcomes and methods of teaching and learning” (speaker of the assoc prof MUIT Omarov G),
  • “Development of assessment methods. General trends and applications. Approaches to evaluation. “(senior lecturer of the MUIT Kalmykbaeva A),
  • “Definition of strategies and provision of quality assurance mechanisms”, (speaker of the assoc prof of the MUIT Uteshova R).

Representatives of such colleges as the College of the International Academy of Business, the Almaty Automobile Mechanics College, the Central Asian Technical and Economic College, the Polytechnic College, took an active part in the discussions and showed their readiness to complete a full course of training on the principles of implementing a competence-based approach to the educational process.
